D-outcome measurement for a non-locality test

چکیده
For the purpose of the nonlocality test, we propose a general correlation observable of two parties by utilizing local d-outcome measurements with SU(d) transformations and classical communications. Generic symmetries of the SU(d) transformations and correlation observables are found for the test of nonlocality. It is shown that these symmetries dramatically reduce the number of numerical variables, which is important for numerical analysis of nonlocality. A linear combination of the correlation observables, which is reduced to the Clauser-Horne-Shimony-Holt (CHSH) Bell’s inequality for two outcome measurements, is led to the Collins-Gisin-LindenMassar-Popescu (CGLMP) nonlocality test for d-outcome measurement. As a system to be tested for its nonlocality, we investigate a continuous-variable (CV) entangled state with d measurement outcomes. It allows the comparison of nonlocality based on different numbers of measurement outcomes on one physical system. In our example of the CV state, we find that a pure entangled state of any degree violates Bell’s inequality for d(≥ 2) measurement outcomes when the observables are of SU(d) transformations. The principle of anti-superposition in QM and the local solution of the Bell’s inequality problem
In this paper we identify the superposition principle as a main source of problems in QM (measurement, collapse, non-locality etc.). Here the superposition principle for individual systems is substituted by the antisuperposition principle: no non-trivial superposition of states is a possible individual state (for ensembles the superposition principle is true). The modified QM is based on the an...
متن کاملAsymptotics in Quantum Statistics
Observations or measurements taken of a quantum system (a small number of fundamental particles) are inherently random. If the state of the system depends on unknown parameters, then the distribution of the outcome depends on these parameters too, and statistical inference problems result. Often one has a choice of what measurement to take, corresponding to different experimental set-ups or set...
متن کاملA stronger Bell argument for quantum non-locality
It is widely accepted that the violation of Bell inequalities excludes local theories of the quantum realm. In this paper I present a stronger Bell argument which even forbids certain non-local theories. The remaining non-local theories, which can violate Bell inequalities, are characterised by the fact that at least one of the outcomes in some sense probabilistically depends both on its distan...
متن کاملPresurgical Language Mapping in Patients With Intractable Epilepsy: A Review Study
Introduction: about 20% to 30% of patients with epilepsy are diagnosed with drug-resistant epilepsy and one third of these are candidates for epilepsy surgery. Surgical resection of the epileptogenic tissue is a well-established method for treating patients with intractable focal epilepsy. Determining language laterality and locality is an important part of a comprehensive epilepsy program befo...
متن کاملNon-Locality, Contextuality and Transition Sets
We discuss quantum non-locality and contextuality using the notion of transition sets [1, 2]. This approach provides a way to obtain a direct logical contradiction with locality/non-contextuality in the EPRB gedanken experiment as well as a clear graphical illustration of what violations of Bell inequalities quantify. In particular, we show graphically how these violations are related to measur...
